Banksia Villages Limited was pleased to learn the results of the 2015 ACAR, having been awarded an additional 13 home care packages. The allocation consisted of ten level 3 packages and three Level 4 packages, bringing Banksia Community Care’s total allocation to 23 home care packages.

Banksia Villages officially launched Banksia Community Care in July 2015 and have been providing home care services to residents of Banksia Villages and the surrounding community since then. Services include assistance with personal care, cleaning, shopping and transport to activities and appointments with Banksia’s friendly and professional staff providing these services directly to clients in, and from, their own home.
Banksia Villages CEO, Graham Wise, said that the additional allocation offers a great opportunity for further growth. Mr Wise said “it was great to start with a small client base as this allowed us to carefully set up our home care systems and practices and to provide a high level of attentive and personalised care to our clients. The achievement of additional packages will help us improve our scale, further increase our resources and services and to ultimately extend our services to a greater number of people”.

Banksia Community Care Manager, Bernie Brandes, is excited to hear the news that the service can continue to grow. “We have a small team who work really hard to deliver the level of care and service expected of Banksia. More packages will allow us to offer these services to a greater number of people in the community who need help. We love what we do and enjoy helping our clients to achieve a higher quality of life”. Ms Brandes said that the split in the allocation will also be well received. “We have found that the level 3 and level 4 packages are in high demand. These packages are for the higher levels of care and it is important that there is room for growth at this level as there are people in the community who need this level of support”.
