Banksia Villages will be holding a free community information day on Friday 23 June at its retirement village and residential aged care facility in Broulee.

Banksia Villages - residential aged care, help at home and independent retirement living

Banksia Villages – residential aged care, help at home and independent retirement living

The day provides an opportunity to find out more about Banksia’s aged care services including residential aged care, respite, professional clinical and practical help at home, and independent retirement living.

It’s also a valuable chance to get helpful information about navigating the aged care system and recent changes to aged care funding and home care packages.

Some of Banksia’s senior staff will be on hand to talk to one-on-one, or visitors can pick up an information pack to take home. Members of Banksia Men’s Shed will be on deck with displays and sales of their wares, and morning tea will be available. Visitors can also make bookings for a tour of Banksia Village or Banksia Lodge at a later date.

Leanne Turner, Director of Care at Banksia Lodge, says the information day is a great way for people to find out more about the aged care options available to them, as well as about Banksia’s own services.

“Working your way through the aged care system can be quite challenging, particularly if people need to make decisions quickly,” says Leanne. “Being able to talk to someone who understands the system, and who can provide helpful and friendly information and advice, can be very reassuring.”Key Banksia staff
