New Graduate Program for Registered Nurses
This 12 month program has been designed to ensure you experience a really rich and rewarding new graduate year that will allow you to develop your aged care nursing and specialist gerontological nursing competencies in both residential and community aged care settings.
- you will be fully supported by a team of experienced clinicians
- you will have support and mentorship from Banksia’s Clinical Nurse Educator
- your time will be spent between Banksia’s residential aged care facility and at Banksia Community Care, based in Broulee
The program will be supported by the Aged Care Transition to Practice Program (ACTPP) facilitated by Australian College of Nursing. This educational program includes participation in interactive workshops, on-site mentoring and ongoing support through your facilitator and dedicated mentor. The ACTPP is fully funded and you will be allocated paid education shifts.
