Banksia Lodge is an architecturally designed and contemporary residential aged care facility located in beautiful Broulee. The facility is fully accredited and government subsidised.
The Lodge includes 80 single room suites, appointed with quality inclusions and complete with en suite, kitchenette and peaceful garden outlook. Wheelchair access is available to all rooms, and several rooms are designed for special needs. Telephone, internet and Foxtel are available in each room.
Our spacious common areas include a central lounge, two dining rooms, activities room, craft room and several smaller lounges – all surrounded by tranquil, family friendly gardens and outdoor spaces. Our award winning $9m extension incorporates a stunning dining and lounge room, a commercial grade kitchen and laundry, outdoor entertaining area, landscaped gardens and water features.

Nancy’s Story
103 year old Nancy came to Banksia Lodge in 2013, after losing her soul mate Ray, her husband of 71 years. “I didn’t want my family worrying about me being on my own. They love to travel, and I wanted them to feel comfortable going off, knowing I was being well looked after.”
Like many Banksia residents Nancy was also a “local”, having lived at Tuross for many years, and already had a number of friends at Banksia Lodge she liked to visit.
Nancy chose her room because of the aspect – morning sun – and because of the verandah which allows her to potter among her plants. The Lodge lifestyle means she can remain independent yet receive all the support she needs.
Nancy is a regular at the Lodge’s Tai Chi classes, and her Trivia team is not easily beaten!
