Clinical Nurse Educator – Part time

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to support and inspire our care teams across Banksia Village, nestled in the peaceful town of Broulee on the NSW South Coast.

Clinical Nurse Educator – Part time (0.6 FTE)

As the Clinical Nurse Educator, you’ll be responsible for the assessment, planning, facilitation, and evaluation of staff education and training. You will play a key role in enhancing clinical standards, supporting new staff, mentoring students, and fostering professional development for nurses and care staff.

This is a part-time position reporting to the Human Resources Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with HRM, Coordinate staff orientation and induction programs
  • Identify learning needs and deliver engaging clinical education sessions
  • In consultation with HRM, develop and implement an annual education calendar
  • Support mandatory training and continuous professional development
  • Facilitate student placements and supervise clinical competency
  • Lead and manage the RN graduate program
  • Foster a culture of enablement and empowerment in resident care
  • Collaborate with HR and clinical leaders to drive quality care outcomes

What You’ll Bring

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong background in clinical nursing, aged care or community nursing
  • Experience in delivering training and education in healthcare settings
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and mentoring skills
  • Confidence in using sector-specific software and blended learning methods
  • Sound understanding of the Aged Care Act, Standards and Accreditation
  • Effective leadership and team collaboration skills
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement

Essential

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or currently enrolled)
  • National Police Clearance
  • Medical clearance (role-specific physical requirements)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
